Becki Newton

Becki was raised and born at Guilford (Connecticut) but was born in New Haven. Her parents are English and Czech origin. She began her career in theaters around the area. European History. Newton was the character Amanda Tanen on the comedy-drama Ugly Betty series from 2006 until 2010. Newton as well as Co-star Michael Urie co-hosted The Official Ugly Betty Blog. Newton also appeared on ABC.com ?Ts Mode After Hours series of web-based episodes. Ugly Betty, which had four successful seasons by then and was later cancelled in. This gave the show the chance to have a final season. Newton was the first to make her New York City Center encores debut in the year 2009. Jerry Zaks directed the Gershwin musical Girl Crazy. Her real spouse Chris Diamantopoulos performed with her as Molly Gray. Newton was a part of the TV show Love Bites. Cindy Chupack was the executive producer of this romantic comedy. Cindy Chupack worked with Sex and the City. NBC announced the pick up of the show in May 2010.However it was cancelled after Newton announcement of her baby, co-star Jordana Spiro contractually obligated to remain on her previous project My Boys (which had been then cancelled) and Chupack's intention to exit the show Love Bites was pushed back to mid-season.
